Health Trend forecast

Health Trends Forecast By Haley

At the beginning of every year, fashion experts forecast the up-and-coming trends one can expect for the year. Although I do love a good fashion trend forecast, that is not my forte. However, I am here to tell you my predictions on what the health/wellness trends for the year will be! Health is a tad different from fashion but we will break down the details. So here is my Health Trend forecast.

Eat it, drink it, put it on your skin

Matcha

In the course of the past few years, matcha was first seen as the hot item to drink. Now there are many ways to use matcha for other things, such as adding to baked goods or skincare items. Lately, I’ve seen matcha pop up a lot more on my social media. I think this year matcha will give coffee a good run for its money!

Chlorophyll

You may associate chlorophyll with your 7th-grade science class when you learned about photosynthesis, but let me assure you it is much more than that. Chlorophyll has become a staple in my wellness routine. At the end of 2020, I began to see more of a buzz within the wellness world about chlorophyll, hence my prediction for the trend this year.

Like matcha, in addition to drinking chlorophyll, you can also put it on your skin, lol! The brand Cocokind has an incredible chlorophyll mask that has helped my skin so much with breakouts and inflammation. I think we will see a lot more skincare and makeup brands coming out with more products with chlorophyll.

Ice

ICE, ICE, BABY! Now is something you might already know about. We are told to put ice on our skin when there it’s swollen or causing us pain. Well, I have a feeling this year Ice is going to become apart of everyone’s beauty routines. I personally just purchased an ice roller from amazon, and it is the best item ever! I keep it in the freezer, and every morning I roll it on my face while I drink my coffee.

Trust your GUT

Foods that support a healthy gut

Raise your hand if, in the past year, you have become more aware of gut health. Well, if you haven’t, you will see it this year! Let me put it in simple terms. Gut health is in… eating like sh*t and having poor gut health is not. There is an extensive amount of resources discussing gut health for everyone to ignore it for much longer. Hence, this is why gut health is going to be all the rage.

Setting the bedroom scene

Although setting the bedroom scene can be taken as preparing for an activity (woahhh I know not PG), that is not exactly what I am referring to. As the world moves in a positive direction this year, life will move back to what it was before 2020. We will be spending less time in our homes. When we get home from a long day, the mood needs to be SET to relax.

Lighting

When I think of setting the mood, I think of light. Salt lamps, red light therapy, blocking out blue light, candles. All of these aspects of light have been discussed in recent years. However, this year, I think they will be incorporated into more households.

Scents

A certain smell completely changes how the room feels. Getting in bed feeling good, smelling good, and your atmosphere smelling good is key. Luxury feeling candles, incents, body lotions, facial oils, diffusers, and flowers are going to be major.

Humidifier

Dewy skin and purified air, an award-winning combination. For the past few years, essential oil diffusers gave humidifiers a kick in the a$$. However, they’re making a comeback looking more chic, aesthetic pleasing to the eye, and easier to use.

More to come…

I hope you all enjoyed this blog on the health trends forecast for this year. I can’t wait to see the trends unfold this year and keep you all updated.

Each month, I’ll be sharing my favorite health and wellness products I’ve discovered that month. It will range from a dip I found at Trader Joe’s to a beauty tool.

Until next time, thanks for hanging with Haley
