Morning Skinny Feeling

I am sure many people love waking up and starting their day feeling their best. The term “morning skinny” may even run through your brain. However, the body fluctuates so we don’t always wake up with that light morning skinny feeling. I thought I would share some top tips for waking up debloated and gaining that light morning skinny feeling!

There are many factors that play into waking up and not feeling debloated and light. Many times, for me, it is due to what I ate the night before. If I have a lot of salt… you bet I am going to wake to look like a blown up pufferfish lol (especially in my face UGH). So what exactly do I do to”debloat” in the morning?

Hot lemon water to hydrate in the morning

Hot lemon water is a reoccurring tip in my blog posts because it’s proven to help tons! Having hot lemon water first thing in the morning gets the digestive system moving. It also hydrates you before you put anything else into your system. The lemon in the water helps to flush out the toxins in your body and aids in the debloat process.

Magnesium supplement

Taking magnesium has completely changed the game for me! I usually take magnesium at night before I go to bed, so when I wake up in the morning, my stomach feels lighter. Essentially… it helps to get things moving in the intestinal track (if you know what I mean). If I don’t take it at night and I wake up feeling bloated, uncomfortable, and wanting to poop but can’t. It is essential when you are taking any supplement that you research beforehand to understand what the pros and cons are before taking.  Also, be sure to research and purchase only high-quality ingredients, meaning make sure it doesn’t have a bunch of other BS ingredients within the supplement. As an example, I sometimes take the bye, bye bloat by the brand LOVE wellness. It has magnesium, digestive enzymes, and other clean ingredients. I love taking this when it is that time of the month; it works well for me.

Celery juice

I swear by celery juice and my go-to for that morning skinny feeling! If I am drinking a green juice in the morning there is a high chance it is celery juice. The benefits of celery juice are insane (side note: really helps with my skin). The main reason I love celery juice though is it clean you out…if you know what I mean. I drink it on an empty stomach and it significantly helps if I am bloated. I don’t love the taste of celery so I add lemon to mine most of the time (trader Joes now carries celery juice for under $3!)

Skip the coffee

Although coffee can help get things moving, it is dehydrating. When you are bloated you need to hydrate your body! Skip the coffee until later on and follow my other tips first.

Eat something easy to digest

Do not eat a huge breakfast that is hard for your body to digest or is filled with salt. If you can hold off not eating right away when you wake here is what I do. After I have drink my hot lemon water and celery juice; I will have something light such as coconut yogurt with blueberries or a smoothie (note; sometimes I’ll skip adding protein powder so it is fewer ingredients for my body too digest).
