First off “what is turmeric?” you may be asking.
Turmeric is a root that is a fantastic anti-inflammatory. It helps with glowing skin and regulating hormones. When I use turmeric, I see a significant difference in my skin and how I feel.H ways to sneak turmeric into my diet!

My “golden” drink
Hot lemon water + turmeric +ginger + apple cider vinegar +black pepper. This mixture is pretty much my go-to drink for many reasons. It is jam-packed full of amazing things for your body. The hot lemon water and ginger will aid in digestion and bloat, and the apple cider vinegar will help curve your appetite and boost your metabolism. The black pepper activates the turmeric anti-inflammatory properties (so it is key to make sure and always use turmeric and black pepper together). If this combination is too strong for you, I suggest adding a tiny bit of honey or agave.
When I Cook
When I’m cooking, I try to incorporate turmeric by putting it on my veggies, in my soups, anywhere where I think it would taste good (and I can sneak it in). I will pull out my ground ginger and turmeric and add them in along with other spices. I recommend buying ground turmeric rather than the actual root for cooking because it is a lot easier.
Wellness Shots
SHOTS! Well, I mean a Wellness shot, with turmeric in it! Wellness shots are a quick and most straightforward way to consume turmeric. I have to say that it isn’t the best tasting, but if you chase it with almond milk or a smoothie, it kills the taste. You can get them at most juice bars, or you can make them at home!
Bone Broth
In my bone broth! Most of the bone broth I buy has turmeric already in it, but I will often add more +black pepper+ ginger. Bone broth its self-has amazing benefits that aid in detoxification, boots metabolism, and is great for the gut. Adding turmeric boosts that anti-inflammatory aspect that your body needs.
Capsules (aka pill)
Another way I consume turmeric is a curcumin capsule (when I say capsule I mean vitamin/pill). Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric. On some turmeric capsule bottles, they often are labeled curcumin!
