How To Protect Your Skin For Summer

How to protect your skin for summer

I burn easily… very easily. So, how to protect your skin for summer is something we must do.  Sunscreen has always been something I apply every day, or when my mom forced me too when I was little. As I have grown up, I realize how important it is to protect your skin from the sun. I also have fair skin with freckles and if I am in the sun to long, not only do I burn, but I get a crazy amount of freckles. Now, I love my freckles, but I prefer a faded freckle look on me (in the summer they also darken). I know it sounds funny but its the truth!

So, every morning I apply sunscreen. I use either a CC cream with SPF in it, or I apply sunscreen under my makeup. Regardless I ALWAYS APPLY SUNSCREEN! I make sure to wear sunscreen every day because of 1. Don’t want to get burnt, 2. I want to protect my skin from sun damage 3. I don’t want my freckles to get darker.

Young adults are starting to age so much better because sunscreen is more enforced in today’s society. Sun damage causes wrinkles and poor skin that will show up when you start to age… and I have a mission to be a #Milf later in life. On top of applying sunscreen before I leave the house, I bring with me a powder sunscreen that I can quickly touch up throughout the day. It gives me a little tint, helps with oily skin, and reapplies my sunscreen (I keep one in my car, backpack, and purse)! I will also apply it to my shoulders when I am sitting outside and realize “Oh crap my shoulders are totally getting burnt right now.” I use the brand Supergoop for my sunscreen because it doesn’t break me out, I love the consistency, and I love their makeup products. I also use the ColorScience tinted powder, which works great too. The reason I love the powder is it’s light and works just as amazing as the liquid face sunscreen.

How to protect your skin for summer tips:

  1. Apply a sunscreen any time you leave the house.
  2. Make sure your makeup has SPF in it.
  3. Bring your face sunscreen down your neck (never neglect your neck! Same thing when you apply makeup or any skincare)

Until next time, thanks for Hanging with Haley. I hope you gained some tide bits on how to protect your skin for the summer!
